The Mark & Brian Radio Show

...and Dan Reeves?

Mark-Dan-Brian

"Morning radio can never be the same after Mark and Brian shoot for their spot in the DJ's Skeet Shooting Hall of Fame"!

Only Mark and Brian could take a visual sport like skeet shooting and make it work on the radio. Known for their morning show antics on KLOS 95.5 FM daily from 6:00am to 10:00am in the Los Angeles market, they mentioned on the air that Brian had tried skeet shooting while temporarily grounded from parachuting in the Mojave Desert. They decided on the spot that they should try skeet shooting while on the air. An alert listener knew just who to recommend to set up the event at a local Los Angeles shooting facility.

Dan Reeves, a world renown shotgun exhibition shooter, co-host of ESPN's "STARSHOT" series, Chief Shooting Instructor and Captain of "TEAM USA", and owner of Hip Shot! Productions, was contacted to give Mark and Brian instruction and watch over their safety. Reeves, who calls clay target shooting the "ultimate video or pinball game", declared "I'll have them hitting targets in no time!".

Reeves had just returned from France where he had captained "TEAM USA" to win the gold medal in "Ball Trap Pro", a fierce competition that pits the top 64 individual shooters and the sixteen best 4-man teams in the world against one another. Reeves had also performed three exhibition shooting shows a day while in Paris at the "Hippodrome". Playing to crowds of over 70,000 and receiving standing ovations, Reeves amazed and mystified while performing to the beat of American rock music.

Upon returning to the States, Reeves was excited to hear of the invitation to coach Mark and Brian, explaining "We're really pleased to have Mark and Brian come to the range to demonstrate the fun of the sport, as well as the other positive aspects of clay target shooting and the eye-to-hand coordination skills that it develops in our youth."

As predicted, with Reeves' help, the guys hit targets right away, beat two local Sheriffs in a friendly competition, and received a plaque declaring them to be the first members of the "DJ's Skeet Shooting Hall of Fame".
